Rice Krispies is a brand of breakfast cereal was produced by Kellogg's since 1928. They consist of a mixture of rice and sugar, which forms in the grains of rice and toast. These kernels bubble and rise in a manner which forms very thin walls. If the grain, milk or juice are exposed, the walls tend to collapse suddenly, creating the famous "Snap, Crackle and Pop" sound. This is in contrast to the puffed rice, which was introduced in 1904.
